First-Time Setup

Configure RefleK's for your KovaaK's installation.

Automatic Detection

RefleK's is designed to work out of the box. When you first launch it, it will automatically:

  • Detect your Steam installation folder
  • Detect your KovaaK's installation folder from your Steam installation
  • Locate your stats and performances folders within it
  • Detect the signed-in Steam account for benchmark progress
  • Start monitoring for new scenario runs
  • Import your existing stats history

Default Settings

RefleK's comes with sensible defaults that work for most users:

  • KovaaK's Install Folder: Automatically detected from your Steam installation
  • Language: English by default (change it in settings)
  • Session gap: 20 minutes (runs within this gap are grouped together)
  • Mouse tracking: Enabled by default (disable in settings if desired)
  • Screen capture: Disabled by default (enable in settings to record replays)
  • Theme: Dark mode
  • Autostart: Disabled by default

Autostart with KovaaK's

RefleK's can start automatically when you launch KovaaK's:

  1. Open Settings (gear icon in the top right)
  2. Go to General → Autostart with KovaaK's
  3. Toggle it on

When enabled, RefleK's starts hidden with Windows and opens automatically when KovaaK's launches. Closing the window keeps it running in memory for quick access.

Manual Configuration

If RefleK's can't detect your KovaaK's installation automatically, you can set it manually:

  1. Open Settings (gear icon in the top right)
  2. Go to General → KovaaK's Install Folder
  3. Enter the path to your KovaaK's installation folder (the folder containing FPSAimTrainer)

The default KovaaK's installation location on Windows is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FPSAimTrainer

RefleK's will automatically look for stats and performances within the FPSAimTrainer subfolder.

Tip: If you have a custom Steam library location, KovaaK's will be installed in that library's steamapps folder instead.

Steam Integration

For benchmark rankings, RefleK's detects your Steam install folder and the signed-in account from your local Steam installation, then uses that account to fetch your progress from KovaaK's servers. This is automatic - no Steam profile visibility settings required.

The detected Steam ID and persona name are prefilled in Settings → Advanced → Steam, where you can override them if needed.
